15 Minutes

Safety & privacy

Anonymity that ends the way you decide

15 Minutes puts two strangers in a room for a quarter of an hour. That only works if the rules are clear and the controls are real. Here they are.

The reveal is mutual, always

Nothing about you is shown to your match until you both agree — not your name, not your photo, not your age. At the end of the session you each answer privately. If both answers are yes, profiles open. If either is no, the chat moves to Past Sessions and you stay anonymous. Individual answers are never revealed, so nobody learns who declined.

One early exit from anonymity, by invitation

If the session is going well you can send a single early-reveal request. The other person accepts or declines. One request per chat, so it can't become pressure.

Permissions are separate, not bundled

Who can message you, who can tag you and who can mention you are three different settings, each set to Everyone, Followers, Connections or No one. Your follow lists and your profile photo have their own visibility settings, and your online status — along with last-seen — can be switched off entirely.

Sensitive media is treated as sensitive

Photos sent as view-once open once and are screenshot-protected. If someone tries to capture one, the sender is told.

Blocking and reporting

Blocking works in both directions and ends every interaction between two accounts. Reports can be filed under 12 different reasons, stay private, and you are notified about the outcome. The in-app Help Center routes safety topics to a thread you can follow.

Your data, and leaving

You can request a copy of the data on your account. You can deactivate, which hides your account without deleting anything. Or you can delete: your account is hidden immediately and you have about 28 days to sign back in and cancel before the data is removed for good.

Age

15 Minutes is for people aged 16 and over.

Privacy & safety

You're in control — with real settings, not slogans

Every item below is a switch that exists in the app today.

  • Identity opens only by mutual consent.

No profile is revealed unless you both agree.

  • Who can message, tag or mention you

Each one set separately: Everyone / Followers / Connections / No one.

  • Private account.

Only followers you approve see your posts.

  • Find me by username only.

Your real name won't match in search.

  • Profile photo and follow lists.

You choose who can see them.

  • Online status is optional.

Turn it off and last-seen goes with it.

  • View-once photos are screenshot-protected

The sender is notified if someone tries.

  • Blocking cuts both ways.

    Every interaction between you ends.

  • Reporting with 12 reasons.

Your report stays private and you're told what happened.

  • Download your data.

Request a copy of what's in your account.

  • Deactivate or delete.

Deleting hides your account immediately and you have ~28 days to change your mind.

  • 16+ only.

You need to be at least 16 to use 15 Minutes.

There's a Help Center inside the app: pick a topic, describe it, and the reply lands in the same thread.
